However, daily exercise can help in getting rid of pain even quicker. The more you move around, the less pain you'll feel. Doing exercise will help in reducing the pain, will allow you to sleep better and will make you feel cheerful as the pain caused by fibromyalgia can lead to depression. Walking is a light aerobic exercise that helps in improving your respiratory system. It brings nutrients to the muscles to make them healthier, boosts up your stamina and reduces the pain. Any low-impact aerobics that you perform will do wonders for your fibromyalgia symptoms, like biking to relax or swimming in a heated pool to loosen up the muscles, or even using elliptical trainers. When walking, make sure not to overstress yourself, divide the time you will spend on each walk equally.


Stretching will increase your flexibility; it will loosen up those tight muscles and will allow you to move freely. Do stretches after some light warm-up exercises, as there is always a chance of damaging any cold muscles. Position yourself and stretch, once you feel a slight stretch in your muscle make sure to hold it for a minute.

Use light weights that are at least 1 to 3 pounds, and slowly lift. This will improve your tone and will make your muscles stronger. Work out your legs, chest, abs, shoulders, back, and arms, at least 2-3 times per week. Start with 8 reps, and gradually increase up to 10 to 12 reps. Make sure to shorten the range of your movement, this will help in reducing muscles soreness.

Everyday basic activities will make you more fit as well as alleviate the pain. Plan your day by doing all the tougher chores in the morning first, and if you feel drained then take a rest.
