Individuals should seek immediate medical treatment if there are any doubts about the cause of chest pain, especially if it is new or unexpected. If chest pain occurs with shortness of breath, dizziness, sweating, chest pressure, or shoulder, arm, or jaw pain, call 911 or seek emergency medical attention as these are symptoms of a possible heart attack.
