Lyme Disease

Lyme disease is an infectious disease which is typically passed to an individual via a tick. In general, the tick needs to remain on a person for 24 to 48 hours, but if an individual finds a tick that is swollen from feeding, it may have been attached long enough to transmit the bacteria.
